ABSTRACT:
A thermal power machine is provided which converts thermal energy from a heat source to mechanical energy. A metal alloy member of predetermined length is provided which expands below a predetermined temperature and contracts back to the predetermined length upon an increase in temperature. The metal alloy member is utilized in the thermal power machine so as to function in conjunction with a heat exchanger while being brought alternating into and out of contact with a cooling face of the heat exchanger. The metal alloy member is pivotally and eccentrically connected to a rotary member which revolves around a shaft perpendicular to the metal alloy member. Upon contraction of the metal alloy member, a rotating movement of the rotary member is obtained.
