ABSTRACT:
A method and a device for consolidating soil or driving a pile into the gnd by thrusting forces transferred to the soil or the pile through a transmission ground foot, the forces being derived from at least two sources, viz. a mass load and a vibratory member, the latter of which is adapted to produce a varying vertical thrusting force and is adapted to be brought successively out of and, in a shock-like manner, into engagement with the transmission ground foot, with no buffering springs being disposed between the vibratory member and the ground foot.
