ABSTRACT:
A power factor correcting converter includes a control circuit that modulates on and off intervals of a power switch so that a momentary input current of the converter is directly proportional to both a momentary value of an input voltage of the converter and to a momentary value of a current absorbed by a load coupled to an output of the converter.
