ABSTRACT:
Compositions and methods for the treatment or prevention of insulin dependent diabetes (IDD) are provided. Specifically, glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) proteins, and fragments. thereof, can be administered to an animal in order to the reduce the severity of IDD.
