ABSTRACT:
Bacillusstrains that inhibit pathogenic swineE. coliand/or improve performance are provided. Inhibition of pathogenic swineE. colidecreasesE. colidisease. At least one strain enhanced swine performance by improving average daily gain, feed efficiency, and feed intake. PreferredBacillusstrains are of species that are included on the GRAS list.Bacillusspecies are sporeformers and therefore are highly stable and can be fed to swine.
