ABSTRACT:
An apparagraph and method of driving a plasma display panel that enables the display of an image wherein contour noise is minimized and that prevents flickering mal-discharge and mis-discharge when the plasma display panel is being driven at high/low temperature is provided. The method includes detecting a drive temperature of a panel, mapping data using a first sub-field pattern mapping when the panel is driven at a low temperature or a high temperature, and mapping the data using a second sub-field pattern mapping different from the first sub-field pattern mapping when the panel is driven at a temperature between the low temperature and the high temperature.
