ABSTRACT:
Printed articles18are fed to a processing device32by means of a conveying device10. A measuring device22measures the thickness of the printed articles18and transmits a corresponding measured signal28to a control device30of a processing device32. The latter can be formed, for example, by a packaging machine34, and the control device uses the measured signal28as a basis to actuate processing elements71of the packaging machine, such as an input belt conveyor36, a pressure roller pressing element48, a stabilization element54, or a stack forming device58, via drive and actuating motors40, 50, 66.
