An upper mold member32having an upstream upper punch32a, an upper recess portion32band a downstream upper punch32cthat are serially arranged, from a feed upstream side of a sheet material W and a lower mold member24having an upstream lower punch24a, a lower recess portion24band a downstream lower punch24cthat are serially arranged from the feed upstream side of the sheet material W are caused to displace towards a feed downstream side of the sheet material W while the upper mold member32and the lower mold member24sandwich the sheet material W between them. The productivity of a press apparatus can be improved and the cost can be reduced.
