ABSTRACT:
The optical axis of a guide beam projector operating in accordance with the reticle field modulation method, is measured by projecting the guide beam through a retroreflector into the optical axis of a sighting instrument. When the two axes are coincident the two axes are harmonized. A non-coincidence is measured and evaluated in an electronic signal processing circuit to provide information to be used for harmonizing the two axes, for example, by a respective automatic adjustment.
