ABSTRACT:
A method and apparatus for continuously extruding a closed plastic tube with complementary releasably interlocking shaped rib and groove elements on the inner surface of the tube material and extending therealong with the plastic tubing being cooled closely following the extruding and thereafter while advancing the tube from the extruder forcing together the rib and groove elements into an interlocking position, the tubing being then passed through delivery rolls which operate at a predetermined speed, bags being cut from the tubing and heat sealed, and the bags being fed onto a conveyor belt whose rate of delivery is greater than that of the delivery rolls, with the cut edges of the bags being then pressed between a pressure plate and conveyor belt.
