ABSTRACT:
Polygons defined in three-dimensional space are processed so as to determine a rendering order. Cycles are detected and broken by splitting a polygon into a plurality of smaller polygons. The procedure may be effected as a pre-process, for producing rendering order lists, trees or directed graphs.
