ABSTRACT:
A method and apparatus for determining the wax appearance temperature of paraffinic petroleum oils which comprises measuring and plotting the density of the paraffinic oil as a function of temperature at constant pressure, with the wax appearance temperature being indicated by the inflection point of the graph.
