ABSTRACT:
A decoding device1decodes a bit stream including a plurality of packets. Data corresponding to an access unit includes a first data portion150a-1and a second data portion150a-2. The decoding device1includes a packet regeneration section10for receiving a first packet130and a second packet130following the first packet130, and when the first packet130includes the first data portion150a-1and the second packet130includes the second data portion150a-2, producing a new packet164including the data corresponding to the access unit by combining the first data portion150a-1and the second data portion150a-2. The decoding device1also includes a decoding section40for decoding the data corresponding to the access unit. The new packet164includes information indicating a length of the data corresponding to the access unit.
