ABSTRACT:
Apparatus for feeding a mixture of fluidized solids, such as cracking catalyst, and a fluidized feed material to be contacted therewith, such as a hydrocarbon feedstock to be cracked, into a contacting zone, with associated pressure sensor means and flow controller means operatively connected thereto for automatically reducing a purge fluid flow from 100% to 0% while simultaneously increasing a fluidized feed material flow from 0% to 100%.
