ABSTRACT:
An electrostatic coating (atomizing) head is cleaned by ejecting an ejected steam stream to the electrostatic coating head to remove solidified mass of a coating solution deposited thereon.
Ejecting is made via steam stream supply ports to forward and rear surfaces of the coating head without interrupting high voltage applied for coating or even during the coating operation. The method is suitable for aqueous coating solution.
