ABSTRACT:
The invention is directed to a method and apparatus for advancing tubing into a draw die in reducing the diameter of the tubing. The tubing is advanced forward through opposed rotating tolls which apply compressive stress to the tubing and through a close fitting bushing. High pressure lubricant is pumped through a die socket which creates radial compressive stress on the tubing passing through the die socket into the draw die.
