ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing a shoe having an outsole having a top surface and a lip, where the lip extends around a portion of a periphery of the outsole and is above the top surface. The lip also has an inner surface facing inwardly and an outer surface facing outwardly. An upper is in contact with and secured to the outer surface of the lip. The inner surface of the lip is thereafter secured to the top surface for completing the shoe's attachment of the upper to the outsole.
