DESCRIPTION:
BRIEF SUMMARY
The present invention relates to novel dye mixtures including one or more pyridone dyes of the formula I ##STR2## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently of each other C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 -alkyl with or without substitution by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyloxy, whose alkyl chain may in each case be interrupted by an oxygen atom in ether function, or phenyl and with or without interruption by from 1 to 4 oxygen atoms in ether function, C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenyl, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are together with the nitrogen atom joining them together a 5- or 6-membered saturated heterocyclic radical with or without further hetero atoms, -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenyl or thienyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl, and ##STR3## where X is nitrogen or CH, -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenyl, carboxyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkoxycarbonyl or benzimidazolyl, by phenyl, phenoxy, cyclohexyloxy or pyrazolyl and with or without interruption by from 1 to 4 oxygen atoms in ether function, C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl or unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenyl, or a radical of the formula NB.sup.1 B.sup.2 where B.sup.1 and B.sup.2 are independently of each other hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 -alkyl, unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.9 -alkanoyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkylsulfonyl, unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenylsulfonyl, pyridylsulfonyl, unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted benzoyl, pyridylcarbonyl or thienylcarbonyl, and the formula C--R.sup.7, where R.sup.7 has the meaning of C.sub.10 -alkyl, with or without phenyl, phenoxy, cyclohexyloxy or pyrazolyl substitution and with or without interruption by from 1 to 4 oxygen atoms in ether function, of C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl or of unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenyl, ##STR4## where L.sup.1 is nitro, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkanoyl, benzoyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkoxycarbonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkylsulfonyl, unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenylsulfonyl or a radical of the formula --CH.dbd.T, where T is hydroxyimino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxyimino or a radical of an acidic-CH compound H.sub.2 T, -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenyl, halogen, hydroxyl, mercapto, unsubstituted or phenyl- or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenoxy, unsubstituted or phenyl-substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkylthio, unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkylsulfonyl or unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenylsulfonyl, -C.sub.6 -alkanoyl, thiocyanato, halogen or nitro, -C.sub.8 -alkoxycarbonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkylsulfonyl, unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenylsulfonyl or a radical of the formula --CH.dbd.T, where T is as defined above, -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenyl, cyano, halogen, unsubstituted or phenyl- or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, unsubstituted or phenyl-substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkylthio, unsubstituted or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-, halogen- or nitro-substituted phenylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkylsulfonyl, uns
