ABSTRACT:
A metering pump for use on a printing press has a pumping chamber formed between a rigid support plate and a flexible diaphragm. A piston acts through the diaphragm to vary the volume of the chamber and flow to and from the chamber is controlled by respective valves. The valves are formed by co-operation between the diaphragm and support plate and are operated by pistons acting through the diaphragm.
