ABSTRACT:
Voltage controlled oscillator (50) provides an exponential transfer function. The frequency of the output signal of the voltage controlled oscillator varies exponentially with the input voltages (V.sub.IN1, V.sub.IN2) to the oscillator. The exponential transfer characteristic is provided by means of a MOS field effect transistor (19) biased in its subthreshold range.
