ABSTRACT:
The memory card with an ECC circuit for adding ECC.sub.S to main data to be stored comprises a memory consisting of SRAM, a detection circuit for detecting the frequency of data access operation to the memory and a power supply voltage converter for lowering the power supply voltage provided from an external information processor when the frequency of data access is less than the predetermined threshold.
