ABSTRACT:
A scavenging system for single screw compressors to remove residual liquid eal from an open combustion chamber prior to controlled liquid seal injection. The removal of residual liquid seal is accomplished by providing at least one gaterotor as a scavenging means. Essentially the gaterotor will act as a scraper having a 1:1 compression ratio.
