ABSTRACT:
A measuring electrode is disclosed for pH measurement, in particular for the transcutaneous determination of CO.sub.2 partial pressure. The measuring electrode is configured so that the shape thereof can be adapted to any shape of electrode carrier by mechanical working. For this purpose, the measuring electrode has a contact body containing the metal oxide in powdered form and the latter is in direct electrical contact with the metal of the metal oxide.
