ABSTRACT:
EMI suppression in electrodeless discharge lamps by inward RF-reflectance from the enclosure walls (12) of 90%+ and use of an absorber (16) of RF power having an absorption coefficient greater than 40%, a transmission coefficient less than e.sup.-3, and an effective area facing the interior of the enclosure between 5% and 40% of the area of the RF-reflective light transmissive enclosure.
