ABSTRACT:
In combination with any signal processor system which uses an R-C integra type energy detector to recognize the presence of electrical signals such as those that are proportional to a received acoustic ping signal, the turnaround time stability improvement comprising a timing initiation signal recognition means, a validation means, first and second one-shorts for A/D conversion, and AND gate means for receiving the timing initiation signal and the validation signal and outputting a valid ping timing signal only when both are true, said valid ping timing signal in turn causing subsequent actions normally initiated by this event to occur, such as a transponder system incorporation the present invention projecting a return ping into the water.
