ABSTRACT:
A method and apparatus for the consumption of relatively mass amounts of refuse in which a plurality of refuse burning grates are spaced one above the other. The refuse is supplied to and deposited selectively on selected ones or all of the grates while the grates are rotating so as to substantially evenly distribute the refuse thereon. The refuse is ignited to cause the same to burn and be consumed thereby becoming reduced in size such that the smaller sized refuse is enabled to fall through the grates producing a continual cleaning of the grates.
