ABSTRACT:
A marine propulsion system is provided with a transom housing, an intermediate housing, and a drive shaft housing which are rotatable relative to each other. A gearcase is provided which is rotatable, about a drive shaft axis, relative to the drive shaft housing. By selectively rotating the housings relative to each other, the gearcase can be raised or lowered without changing the angle of the drive shaft relative to a horizontal plane. In addition, the gearcase can be trimmed or tilted to a wide variety of angles relative to the transom housing70.
