ABSTRACT:
Single phase, unsupported, Group IA or IIA metal salt promoted manganese-containing iron spinel catalysts, having Fe:Mn atomic ratios of 2:1 or above, have been found to be highly active for the selective conversion of CO/H.sub.2 to alpha olefins.
