ABSTRACT:
A thermally-transferred color filter array element comprising a support having thereon a polymeric dye image-receiving layer containing a thermally-transferred image comprising a repeating pattern of colorants of a maleimide blue dye having the formula: ##STR1## wherein: R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represents hydrogen; a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having from 1 to about 8 carbon atoms; a cycloalkyl group having from about 5 to about 8 carbon atoms; or a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group having from about 2 to about 8 carbon atoms;
