ABSTRACT:
A magnetic tape cassette of very small type having a front lid pivotably secured at its supporting arm portions to a cassette housing so as to selectively open or close a front opening portion of the magnetic tape cassette by the elastic deformation of the front lid. The cassette housing has on its side walls edge surface portions which protrude in the direction perpendicular to the rotating direction of the front lid and which come in contact with the inner surfaces of the supporting arm portions when the front lid is opened. Thus, when the front lid is in its opened state, the front lid can be prevented from being moved in the lateral direction of the front lid and prevented from being detached away from the cassette housing. Also, the magnetic tape cassette can be smoothly ejected from a recording and/or reproducing apparatus.
