ABSTRACT:
Disclosed herein is a magnetic tape cartridge in which reliability has been enhanced by preventing a thin insertion-guide portion, provided in an opening for guiding a leader pin, from being deformed due to shock produced by dropping, etc. The magnetic tape cartridge has a cartridge case4in which a single reel with magnetic tape6wound thereon is rotatably housed. In an opening10through which a leader member5rigidly attached to the leading end of the magnetic tape6is pulled in and out, an insertion-guide portion21for guiding an end portion of the leader member5is formed by making the case wall surface thin, and a cutout is provided on at least one side of the insertion-guide portion21at a position of an edge of the opening10.
