ABSTRACT:
A magnetic snap lock includes male and female members which can cooperate with each other to achieve a locking condition. The female member of the present invention includes a base plate or base plate assembly. A magnetic member is mounted on the base plate or base plate assembly and causes an attraction of the male member towards the female member to provide for the locking condition. A cover member which can be made of a non-ferromagnetic material, is used to substantially cover the top and side portions of the magnetic member.
