ABSTRACT:
A magnetic recording medium is disclosed which comprises a non-magnetic support having magnetic recording layer on one surface thereof, and a backing layer on the surface opposite the magnetic recording layer, the backing layer containing inorganic particles having an average particle size of 0.02 .mu.m or less.
