ABSTRACT:
An object is to provide a magnetic field generator permitting fabrication by a simple manufacturing technique, such as plating, and capable of suppressing the generation of an eddy current as well as a photomagnetic information storage apparatus capable of high speed data recording and reproduction. It has an annular coil311surrounding an inner hole, and a plurality of magnetic rods312radially disposed centering on the inner hole of the coil311so as to overlap the coil311,insulated from the coil311and consisting of a magnetic material, the maximum width of each rod being not more than twice the minimum width.
