ABSTRACT:
In a magnetic field generating device for an ESR system in which a pair of permanent magents are respectively attached to opposing surfaces of a pair of stationary yokes arranged in opposite and spaced apart relationship with each other and a continuously varying magnetic field is caused to generate in a space between the opposing permanent magnets, a plurality of movable yokes for continuously changing the distance between the stationary yokes are arranged to at least one of the pair of stationary yokes so that they are moved individually thereby enabling the magnetic resistance of a magnetic path formed by the permanent magnets, stationary yokes and movable yokes to vary continuously. The device of this invention can vary the magnetic field intensity continuously and finely at high accuracy and can be used at a reduced cost and size with improved operationability in ESR system.
