ABSTRACT:
A magnetic fastener having a female member with a slide plate which attracted by the permanent magnet of the male member. The slide plate engages with the male member and thereby restrains removal of the male member unless manually slid into disengagement. The female member has first and a second plates between which the slide plate is slideably inserted. So as to secure the first and second plates together, deformable catches are formed on one of the plates and indentions which receive the catches are formed on the other. When the catches of the one plate are inserted in the indented portions of the other and then deformed, the first and the second plates are firmly engaged to constitute a female frame of the fastener.
