ABSTRACT:
A vanadate solution for conversion treating of surface of a magnesium alloy workpiece contains 8.20×104to 8.20×10−2mol/liter of metavanadate ion, 1.18×104to 1.18×10−2mol/liter of a polyhydroxylated aromatic compound, and balance of water. The pH value of the vanadate solution exceeds 1 and is less than 4. A method for preparing the vanadate solution is also provided.
