ABSTRACT:
Photographic compound (A) capable, upon oxidative coupling, of forming a dye, comprises in the coupling position, a coupling-off group that comprises in sequence, a releasable benzotriazole group attached to a triazole, tetrazole, oxadiazole, thiaoxadiazole, or thiadiazole inhibitor group represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.a, R.sub.b, R.sub.c R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and Q are as defined in the application. Such a compound (A) is useful in a photographic silver halide material and process to provide improved images.
