ABSTRACT:
A machine tool having a vertically movable machining head and an automatic tool changer, and fitted with a tool magazine including two same-diameter superposed disks, namely an upper disk and a lower disk, with tools being distributed around the peripheries thereof, and automatic rotary drive and indexing means for said disks, said machining head and said tool magazine being capable of moving relative to each other to enable a tool to be changed,
wherein the lower disk is offset relative to the upper disk towards the machining head through a distance d leaving room for the machining head to take tools from said lower disk or to deposit them thereon.
