ABSTRACT:
For an automatic or semi-automatic weapon or gun, that includes a top strap for covering an open top portion of a weapon receiver group. The invention in a connector-less locking arrangement for that top strap that includes spaced apart flanges arranged at intervals along the top strap undersurface to project outwardly from the sides thereof to fit and travel beneath inwardly facing rail sections formed in the receiver top edges, and includes a detent fitted into the receiver to project therefrom, that, when the top strap is fitted thereover, travels into a seat formed in the top strap undersurface, aligning and maintaining the top strap in covering engagement over that receiver open open top portion.
