ABSTRACT:
A palletized load banding machine of the fixed-table and pivoting-axis reel of film type is provided with a set of mechanisms for i) transversely cutting the band of film when activated at the end of load banding, ii) securing, temporarily, the first end part of the band of film originating from the film reel when activated at the beginning of the banding operation, and iii) combining the last end part of the band of film with the banded load when activated at the end of the banding operation. This set of mechanisms is supported by an elevating platform placed beneath the mechanisms and between the mechanisms and the level of the fixed support table to always permit the mechanism to slide vertically in a free, unrestricted space thus preventing any risk of the film interfering with the support table or conveyors for supplying and removing the palletized load during banding of the load.
