ABSTRACT:
A sentinel lymph node detecting apparatus1according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a light source unit2, illuminating an excitation light10and an illumination light11onto a biological observation location20that includes a sentinel lymph node21near a tumor, into which a fluorescent dye that emits fluorescence is injected; an optical filter3, transmitting a fluorescence image11and a normal image13; an image pickup device5, disposed integral to the light source unit2and picking up the fluorescence image11and the normal image13transmitted through the optical filter3; and an image display device7, displaying the observation images that have been picked up. The wavelength of the illumination light11is set to a value close to the wavelength of the fluorescence emitted from the fluorescent dye.
