ABSTRACT:
A luminescent sheet for stamps comprising a subtrate and a luminescent layer formed on the surface of said substrate, characterized in that said luminescent layer contains fine particles of an inorganic fluorescent pigment, said fine particles being prepared by providing a dispersion containing particles having a mean specific surface area Sw.sub.2 of said inorganic fluorescent pigment in water, and subjecting said dispersion to wet-grinding to obtain an aqueous dispersion containing fine particles having a mean specific surface area Sw.sub.1 of said inorganic fluorescent pigment, and said fine particles satisfying the equation: 2.0.gtoreq.Sw.sub.1 /Sw.sub.2 .gtoreq.1.05.
