ABSTRACT:
A push-on type lumber stacker is operated such that each layer of boards is formed directly upon the package of stacked lumber. A plurality of rotary driven cam discs aligned transverse to the longitudinal axes of the boards push individual boards onto the package. The cams are shaped so as to push forward and downward on the trailing edge of the boards. The stacking sticks used to separate the boards are inserted at spaced intervals into stick holders so that the lumber may slide over the stick holders and then onto the sticks as the layers are made.
