ABSTRACT:
A superior lubricating oil composition which can be used in metal forming operations is made up of an .alpha.-olefin and a hydrotreated naphthenic distillate. This lubricating oil composition is particularly suited for use in a vacuum de-oiling brazing process in that it improves tool life, reduces residue deposits on forming dies and completely vaporizes at a low vacuum brazing temperature.
