ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to synergistic extreme pressure compositions comprising (1) an alkylenebis(dihydrocarbyldithiocarbamate) compound and (2) a bismuth compound selected from the group consisting of bismuth carboxylates, bismuth dihydrocarbyldithiocarbamates and bismuth dihydrocarbylphosphorodithioates.
Lubricating compositions containing the synergistic compositions possess good extreme pressure properties.
