ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides lubricant oil compositions comprising polyalkylene glycol polycarbonates. The lubricant oil compositions are useful as industrial gear oils, automotive gear oils, lubricant oils for refrigerators and rolling installations. The lubricant oils exhibit excellent lubricating properties and detergency and also have mutual solubility with an ozone layer nondestructive Freon such as R-134a. The lubricants of the present invention are especially suited for refrigerator systems using a hydrogenated fluorocarbon as a refrigerant.
