ABSTRACT:
A slide of a trombone or the like is lubricated by first applying to it a layer of silicone fluid, then applying soap to the slide and thereafter spraying water on it. The silicone fluid and the soap solution are at a ratio of 1:10 to 1:20 to each other and the silicone fluid is a linear polymeric dimethylsiloxane.
