ABSTRACT:
A lubricant for molding chlorine-containing thermoplastics, which contains ethylene/acrylic acid or ethylene/maleic acid copolymers esterified, in a molar ratio of carboxyl groups to alcoholic hydroxyl groups of from 1:0.2 to 1:1, with C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 -aliphatic alcohols which may or may not contain ether groups, the copolymers, prior to esterification, having a mean molecular weight of from 500 to 10,000 and containing from 2 to 15% by weight of acrylic acid or from 1 to 8% by weight of maleic acid as copolymerized units, the percentages being based on copolymer.
