ABSTRACT:
A process for the preparation of arylamines which comprises the reaction of methyldiphenylamine and diiodobiphenyl in the presence of a ligated copper catalyst, and wherein the ligand is selected from the group consisting of monodentate tertiary amines and bidentate tertiary amines, and which reaction is accomplished at a temperature of from about 120.degree. C. to about 150.degree. C.
